Yasir Qadhi on Ayaan Hirsi Ali

Here's a respected Muslim scholar, Sheikh Dr Yasir Qadhi, exposing Ayaan Hirsi Ali on his FaceBook:

Ayaan Hirsi Ali is clearly someone we strongly disagree with, and are frankly disgusted by (the way she has used her anti-Islamic rants to become rich and famous). She has called Islam a 'nihilistic faith' that is intrinsically backward and evil and prone to violence and terrorism and subjugation of women, etc.

So, clearly, we don't like her and are biased against her. However, I think that despite our prejudices, it is VERY safe and reasonable to say that she is not scholarly or academic in ANY sense of the term. Shrill, loud, attention-seeking, shallow, cacophonous, narcissist Islamphobe - all of these adjectives can be defended. But scholarly? Seriously, what has she done that demonstrates in ANY way that she is an academic capable of valuable research? Forget academics, what has she genuinely done to bring about a positive change in Muslim societies?

Yet, Brandeis University, a very prestigious University in America, has decided to aware her an 'honorary PhD' for her 'efforts' in helping Muslim women.
These days, all you need to get prestigious is be an ex-Muslim who bashes Islam. Fame, fortune, money AND fake PhD's will all be yours!

PLEASE sign a petition alerting officials at Brandeis how utterly ludicrous this award is:

Christians having dreams and converting to Islam:

Invitation to Islam

Jesus taught people to do the Will of God (according to Mark 3:35) in order to become his brothers, mothers or sisters. A Muslim means one who submits to the Will of God. Do you want to become a brother/sister of Jesus? If yes, become a Muslim.

Brandeis University said in a statement that Somali-born Ayaan Hirsi Ali would no longer receive the honorary degree, which it had planned to award her at the May 18 commencement.
