Muslim Reaction to Cleric Named 'Mizanur Rahman' Re Boko Haram and Hate Preaching

This man has been dubbed as a hate preacher. I'm a Muslim and am continually shocked at the sheer lack of wisdom, knowledge and common sense amongst a minority in our Ummah.

I don't know if the news report about this chap is true or not but my message to this man is to stay silent (you aren't doing the Muslim community or yourself personally any favour), learn from actual Muslim scholars and authorities concerning Boko Haram - they have been condemned and their kidnapping antics have been condemned as totally un-Islamic.

Folk such as Anjem Choudary and those associated with him are not scholars. OUR scholars represent us. If you want to learn about OUR SCHOLARS and their stance on Boko Haram see:

As Muslims we need to do more to oppose the ignorance and lack of  wisdom on the part of people like Anjem Choudary and his students. The way to do this is by highlighting what our scholars have said.

As Muslims we should tackle the problem of Anjem Choudary

Here's a snip from The London Evening Standard:

Hate preacher's 'disgusting' sermon praising Boko Haram's kidnap of Nigerian schoolgirls

A London hate preacher jailed after calling for 9/11-style attacks across Europe has sparked fresh outrage after defending the kidnapping of more than 200 Nigerian schoolgirls.

In videos posted online, Mizanur Rahman praises Boko Haram, the terrorist group behind the kidnapping, for angering the West and suggests it is “not necessarily a bad thing” if they kill non-Muslims.

The clips raise fresh questions about the extent to which Britons, including the young, are being radicalised over the internet. Children can be heard in the background in one two-hour rant.
Scotland Yard detectives are now probing the videos after being alerted to them by the Standard.
Haras Rafiq, head of outreach for the counter-extremism think tank the Quilliam Foundation, said: “These videos are dangerous because what he’s doing is creating an ‘us and them’ situation and leaving people angry with a clear enemy.

“The comments he’s made about Boko Haram are particularly dangerous, appalling and disgusting. He’s teaching how to hate and anger non-Muslims. That is a real threat to society and needs to be countered.”

Chair of the Home Affairs parliamentary committee Keith Vaz said: "I am deeply concerned by the content of this video.

"No child or young person should be exposed to these extreme views.
